CASTLE Lager Premiership newcomers How Mine have fired coach Philani Mabhena after a string of poor results.

His replacement, expected to be his assistant Philani Ncube, is likely to be named on Monday.

Chairman of the club, Mlondolozi Nkomo confirmed Sunday that Mabhena was no longer with the Metallon Gold-sponsored outfit, after the executive reached a decision based on the team's performance in the last eight matches.

How Mine picked up four points from eight matches during a run in which they however managed to beat Dynamos 1-0 at Luveve.

The new comers lie in ninth position with 24 points from 18 matches and their last outing was a 1-0 home loss to Shabanie Mine, which seems to have angered the team's management.
