PREMIERSHIP leaders Highlanders and defending champions and bitter rivals Dynamos will face-off in a potentially explosive top-of-the table clash at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

Dynamos have staggered from one poor result to another and got kicked out of the BancABC Sup 8r Cup and the Mbada Diamonds Cup, the richest knock out tournament in the country.

But they finally remembered how to win on Sunday after handing Triple B a crushing 4-1 defeat thanks to goals by Oscar Chove, Ugandan Boban Zirintusa, Tawanda Muparati and Washington Pakamisa.

The Harare giants will be spurred on by that memorable victory as they seek to topple Bosso from the top of the league table.

Coach Kalisto Pasuwa is happy that his forwards who have been struggling to find the back of the net finally got it right against Tripple B.

“We had been lacking the confidence in scoring goals because we had gone for maybe four games without scoring a goal from open play … (But) we managed to get two goals in the first half of the match,” said Pasuwa.

“We have to see the way we play in the next coming games.”

However, sparks are always certain to fly in a meeting with Highlanders- their eternal rivals.

Highlanders lead the title race with 47 points with just five matches left before the end of the campaign while Dynamos trail by two points- the same as Harare City who are in third place because they have an inferior goal difference.

City will host Buffaloes this weekend but it is the Dynamos-Highlanders clash which will be under the spotlight as the league title race reaches boiling point.

The two teams settled for a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at Rufaro but this meeting is crucial in that it could decide the destiny of the championship.

Highlanders are also coming from a morale 3-0 victory over Black Rhinos.
