Chicken Inn 2-2 Dynamos

DYNAMOS were left to fight another day as they blew a chance to reclaim Castle Lager Premier Soccer League top spot when they were held 2-2 away at Chicken Inn.

With victory at stake to propel them to the top, Dynamos had to come back from behind and salvage a point.

The defending champions remained at second place with 51 points and two behind leaders Harare City.

Chicken Inn raced into the lead two minutes into the match with Tendai Ndoro grabbing his 18th goal of the season after being set up by Clemence Matawu.

Kudakwashe Mahachi doubled the hosts’ lead inside the first 20 minutes as Dynamos goalkeeper George Chigova performed a hauler from a freekick that gifted the Chicken Inn goal.

Tawanda Muparati reduced arrears for Dynamos with a stunning freekick for a 2-1 halftime scoreline.

Dynamos came back for the second stanza in a charging mode in search of an equaliser which they duly got when substitute Cliff Sekete finished off from outside the box a nice feed by Simba Sithole.

Dynamos’ relentless charge continued and Patrick Khumbula scored but his effort was ruled offside to end the match on a stalemate.

Dynamos face Black Mambas in their next match which is the last of the season.
