DYNAMOS go into the final match of the season without key players who are nursing injuries ahead of a must win Castle Lager Premiership tie against Black Mambas on Sunday.

The champions suffered a jolt in their title defence on Sunday after being held by Chicken Inn to a 2-2 draw to remain stuck on second position on the league table with 51 points with just one match remaining in the campaign.

The setback meant they failed to take advantage of a stumble by title challengers Highlanders who were handed a humiliating 4-0 defeat at Harare City.

A win for the Harare giants would have seen them reclaiming leadership with 53 points, the same tally as City but with a superior goal difference. Now they find themselves still in second place and two points adrift of Harare City.

And with a game to go before the curtain comes down on the season, Dynamos go into battle without several key players who are nursing injuries.

Defender Partson Jaure has returned from national team duty in Tanzania but it is highly unlikely he will take part in the match as he is reported to be feeling dizzy.

He is being assessed by the medical team. Utility player Thomas Magorimbo is also on the treatment table with an ankle problem.

Magorimbo has however, resumed light training and there are chances he might play a part. Winger Russel Madamombe is also another doubt after pulling a muscle but Clive Kawinga remains sidelined with an ankle problem.

Jaure though is not in the right state of mind as he battles to clear his name after he was dragged before a PSL disciplinary hearing for his violent behavior on referee during their premiership match against Highlanders.

Dynamos assistant coach Richard Chihoro however, expressed confidence.

He said they had enough cover and were ready to roar.

“Black Mambas want to avoid relegation so it won’t be easy. But we want maximum points as well. We need to win at all costs,” he said.

“We need maximum concentration because we believe we are still very much in the race. You never know what will happen so what we just need is a win then we see what happens after that.

“If Harare City wins also it will be tough luck to us. We will have to be content with being second best.”
