CHAMPIONS Dynamos have announced the capture of former Highlanders forward Masimba Mambare.

Mambare whose two year contract with Highlanders expired at the end of the term signed a three year deal.

Dynamos secretary general Webster Chikengezha confirmed the deal.

“I can confirm that we have signed Mambare. He signed a three year contract,” said Chikengezha.

Chikengezha said they were still hunting for another striker to beef up their squad for the African Champions League which on paper appears lightweight with only three strikers.

Mambare will however, only be able to start training with the Harare giants at the end of the African Nations Championships (Chan) tournament.

The former Highlanders forward is part of the 23 man squad which Warriors coach Ian Gorowa took with him to the biennial continental soccer tournament which kicks off in South Africa on
Saturday.

Mambare had not been registered with the Confederation of African Football (Caf) and Dynamos will now have to pay a US$500 fine for each player they will register after the 31 December deadline.

The Zimbabwe champions last week concluded deals with former Cape Town Ajax midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike and Ronald Chitiyo formerly with Monomotapa.

The pair who had already been included in the provisional squad for the Champions League signed one year deals separately.
