FC PLATINUM has admitted interest in Harare City winger Silas Songani and Hwange defender Erick Chipeta.

As usual, the platinum miners have been the most active side on the transfer market although they have departed from their traditional money-splashing antics, opting for low cost players.

With Songani being a hot property on the transfer market including overseas where he is currently on trial in Denmark, FC Platinum are crossing their fingers the winger fails the grade and joins them.

It is however their interest on Chipeta, a Highlanders target, which is going to provide a interesting pre-season tussle.

Chipeta has already expressed interest in joining the Bulawayo giants who had striker Njabulo Ncube raided by FC Platinum last week.

“We will open talks with Erick when he returns from the Chan tournament and we have high hopes of getting him. We are also anxiously waiting to hear the outcome of Silas’ trials in Denmark,” said FC Platinum spokesperson Chido Chizondo.

Chipeta’s loan spell at Hwange has expired and the two sides will have to talk to his owners Sprouting Academy.

FC Platinum have so far signed striker Tarisai Rukanda from their rivals camp Shabanie Mine.

They have also roped in another striker Steven Sibanda from Buffaloes while they have promoted four players from the juniors.

Walter Musona and Wisdom Mutasa have joined from Aces Academy.
