Mahachi on trial at Mamelodi Sundowns

MAMELODI Sundowns on-loan winger to Highlanders Kuda Mahachi has promised to deliver more in his five -month loan stint.

Mahachi scored the only goal of Highlanders win over FC Platinum in a friendly match on Sunday.

The ginger-haired winger will leave for Sundown in July.

“Highlanders are my boyhood club. I grew up here in Bulawayo supporting them and like most boys here I dreamt of playing for them,” Mahachi said.

“Playing for them is a dream comes true. I will be here for a short while but I want to leave them after having contributed a lot. They have to remember me.

“I know Highlanders have not won the league title for a while now so I have a job at hand to leave them while there are closer to that.”

The FC Platinum friendly was his second appearance for Highlanders whom he joined two weeks ago.

His Highlanders debut was the Bob90 Super Cup 2-1 win over Harare City in a match he assisted one of the goals.

Mahachi was Zimbabwe’s star man at the Chan tournament in South Africa where he scored a goal and was named Man of the Match twice.
