CARA Black and Indian playing partner Sania Mirza have reached the final of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

The fifth seeds defeated eighth seeds Lucie Hradecka and Jie Zheng 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 to move into the final where they will meet either top seeds Su-Wei Hsieh/ Shuai Peng or Svetlana Kuznetsova/ Samantha Stosur.

The Cara-Sania pair has not been in top form this season, crashing out of the first round in four tournaments and reaching only the quarterfinals in the other two.

The fifth seed Indo-Zimbabwean duo will now look to win the $5,946,740 hard court event.
