AMAZULU defender Carlington Nyadombo has been handed the skipper's armband for the Warriors.

Dynamos defender Partson Jaure, who captained the national side at the Chan tournament in South Africa, has been relegated to deputy captain.

But the former Gunners man, now with South African Premiership side AmaZulu has been ruled of the Sunday 2015 African Cup of Nations first round first leg tie against Tanzania in Da es Salaam on Sunday owing to injury.

However, in announcing the changes to the team's captaincy, Gorowa said the technical team position has always been that Jaure captains the home based players with Nyadombo being the overall team captain.

“I have always said Carlington Nyadombo is the team captain while Partson Jaure captains the local based players. In his absence Jaure automatically becomes the captain,” said Gorowa.

Jaure led the Warriors at the Chan tournament in South Africa where they finished in the semi-finals after losing to Libya on penalties and will once again lead the Warriors in Tanzania for a battle for a place in Morocco next year.

The Dynamos defender was however, confident of getting a good result.

“Having captained the team at the Chan tournament in South Africa I am not feeling any pressure,” Jaure told reporters after training at Gateway High School in Harare on Tuesday.

“It will not be easy against Tanzania but all we need is to go out there and get a good result.

“We now have a good partnership with Eric Chipeta at the back and all we need is to maintain discipline like we did at the Chan tournament.”

Jaure took over from former Highlanders midfielder Masimba Mambare who had been the captain of the home-based Warriors since the tenure of German coach Klaus Dieter Pagels with Bidvest Wits midifielder Denver Mukamba leading the World Cup squad.

Goalkeeper Washington Arubi was later handed the skipper's arm band.
