Northampton release Zimbabwe striker

NORTHAMPTON Town striker David Moyo has signed a new one year contract.

The 19-year-old Zimbabwe born Academy product has established himself as one to watch at Sixfields.

He will enter his second year as a professional next season, having made seven appearances in the senior side during the 2013/14 campaign.

Manager Chris Wilder believes there is a lot more to come from the Zimbabwe-born teenager

“We are pleased as we feel David has got a bright future,” said manager Chris Wilder.

“There is more to come from him than supporters may have seen so far.

“He’s got pace which is frightening but we need to work on his skills and his technical ability.

He’s a great boy and he’s willing to work and put the hours in.

“He is working hard on his fitness and strength over the summer and he is looking forward to coming back to work with the rest of the lads towards the end of the month.”
