TOP seeds Cara Black and Sania Mirza faced an upset loss in the doubles semifinals of the Aegon Classic in Birmingham as they were knocked out by Raquel Kops Jones and Abigail Spears.

The top seeds won the first set 6-3 but the American pair levelled it at one set a piece by winning the second set 6-3.

The match was forced into a match-tiebreak which Raquel Kops Jones and Abigail Spears won 10-8 to make their way into the final.

In the final, Raquel Kops Jones and Abigail Spears will face second seeds Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua, who brushed aside Chinese-French pair of Shuai Zhang and Caroline Garcia in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

Cara and Sania now turn their attention to Wimbledon which the Zimbabwean won in 2007.
