DYNAMOS received a major boost ahead of Sunday’s league clash with unbeaten Highlanders following the availability of fit-again midfielders Tawanda Muparati and Devon Chafa.

Muparati has not featured in the league since being injured in a Caf Champions League away match at AS Vita in DRC in March.

Chafa on the other hand has seen little action due to suspension and injuries and has one goal to his name against Bantu Rovers.

While coach Callisto Pasuwa might not quickly throw the duo into the fray in the big Highlanders game, their return especially of inspirational vice captain Muparati is just good news.

“Tawanda and Devon are back to full fitness and are available for selection. We hope they will contribute a lot against Highlanders if they are selected,” team manager Richard Chihoro said.

As Dynamos are celebrating the availability of the two key players, it is not the same at Highlanders who travel to Harare without injury-prone midfielder Rahman Kutsanzira.

It would be the last game for their star winger Kuda Mahachi who is headed for Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa.

Coach Kelvin Kaindu is confident of breaking an eight-year jinx that has seen them failing to beat Dynamos.

“We have had good preparations and we cannot complain. We know Dynamos have been the better side in the past but we also have a fair away record this season and that is a psychological boost for us,” he said.

Mthulisi Maphosa is still out with a long-term injury.
