Chicken Inn 0-0 Dynamos

A POINT was enough to take champions Dynamos top of the Castle Lager Premiership standings on Saturday although they again failed to beat Chicken Inn at Barbourfields stadium.

Now on 23 points, the Harare giants can enjoy the summit of the log at least for 24 hours hoping none of the other table toppers would emerge Sunday to displace them.

Until Saturday, Dynamos was third to Hwange and How Mine who are in action on Sunday.

Hwange, 22 points from 12 games, are visiting a resurgent Caps United at the National Sports Stadium hoping to continue with their fine start to the 2014 premiership race.

How Mine, also on 22 points with the same number of games, have a tricky tie at Triangle.

Title contenders Highlanders entertain Black Rhinos in their Barbourfields fortress hoping to allay the horrors of losing their umpteenth match against rivals Dynamos in Harare last weekend.

Meanwhile, Shabanie Mine stunned Harare City 2-1 at Rufaro Stadium with 37-year-old veteran defender Zvenyika Makonese scoring the priceless winner for the asbestos miners.

FC Platinum, another Zvishavane based side, registered their fourth win of the season when Marshall Mudehwe scored in the only goal of the match in the first half to seal a victory for the ambitious outfit in
a match played at Mandava.

Unbeaten premiership debutants ZPC Kariba squandered an opportunity to shoot to the top of the log standings when they fought to 1- stalemate with Moses Chunga's struggling Chiredzi in a match played at Gwanzura.
