ZIMBABWE international, Kuda Mahachi, currently on the books of Mamelodi Sundowns, scored in a practice game while on trial at French club AS Monaco.

Mahachi has yet to play for Sundowns since signing after impressing during the CHAN tournament earlier this year, and was on loan at Highlanders in Zimbabwe this past year.

And with Mahachi impressing so far on trial, he may yet never don the Sundowns kit officially.

The Sundowns website also reports that Monaco will take the former Chicken Inn player with them on their pre-season camp in Austria, and he will hope to continue to impress and land a contract with the French giant.

“Good news for the youngster is that the French giants will be taking him along for their pre-season camp to Austria, and if he continues performing well, might well earn himself a contract,” said Sundowns on their official website.

Mahachi’s goal in the practice match, that ended 1-1, came in the tenth minute, when he volleyed home a cross from the left.

It is however not clear if the 20-year-old would be part of the squad that proceeds to United States of America on 16 July for the Copa EuroAmericana where Monaco are scheduled to play Atletico Junior and Atletico Nacional.

With Monaco already listening to offers for midfield sensation James Rodriguez, Mahachi could be a direct replacement to the winger if he leaves this European summer.

If he earns a contract at Stade Louis II Stadium will see his club Mamelodi Sundowns enormously benefiting from the move before he even kicks a ball for them.
