IT’S derby time again as Caps United host old enemy Dynamos in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at the National Sports Stadium hoping to end the Dynamos jinx.

The Green Machine has for a very long time been overshadowed by their rivals failing to beat them in a league match.

It’s exactly five years since they last defeated the reigning champions when a Nyasha Mushekwi brace earned Caps United a deserved 2-0 victory at the National Sports Stadium in 2009.

Since that day, Caps United's attempts to beat Dynamos in a league match have ended in a deluge of tears.

But Taurai Mangwiro's men will take heart from the fact that they have managed to beat Dynamos in a cup competition this season something that should give them the resolve as they trudge into the field on Sunday.

Dominic Mukandi ended Dynamos’ dominance with the only goal which torched wild celebrations from their fans as it bundled them out of the tournament.

He dedicated his goal in the ZNA Charities semi-final tie to team coach Taurayi Mangwiro and the Green Machine family.

But they now meet in the league with United hoping to exorcise that ghost which has seen them failing to defeat their rivals in a league encounter.

Both teams are enjoying top form with Caps United coming from a 2-1 victory over Chicken Inn while Dynamos are coming from a 2-1 win over army side Black Rhinos.
