Dinyero delight as City beat Chiredzi

HARARE City have given interim coach Masimba Dinyero a target of three games including Friday's clash against Chiredzi FC at Rufaro before installing him for the remainder of the campaign.

Dinyero was roped in as coach in an interim capacity after the Sunshine City boys announced the sacking of head coach Big Boy Mawiwi following a spate of dreadful results.

After Friday’s match, City make the trip to Zvishavane for a date with Shabanie and then host Chapungu.

But Dinyero remains confident of steering the team from relegation.

Placed third from the bottom with only 15 points in 16 matches of the campaign, Dinyero - a former FC Platinum assistant coach believes he has the capacity to achieve the objective.

“Our target is to try and pick points in every match but we will take each game as it comes to move away from the relegation zone,” he said.

“It will not be easy against Chiredzi FC because they are also fighting relegation.”

Chiredzi who are now under the guidance of Gishon Ntini are struggling at the foot of the table with just 10 points to show in the campaign so far.

Ntini who replaced Moses Chunga last week however, is coming from a morale boosting win against Luke Masomere's Buffaloes and will be hoping to add to beat City to easy relegation worries.

Saturday: ZPC Kariba vs Hwange (Gwanzura Stadium1500hrs SS), FC Platinum vs Chapungu FC (Mandava Stadium)

Sunday: Caps United vs Chicken Inn (NSS, 1500hrs SS), Buffaloes vs Shabanie Mine (Sakubva Stadium), Highlanders vs How Mine (B/F), Black Rhinos vs Dynamos (Rimuka Stadium) ,Triangle United vs Bantu Rovers (Gibbo Stadium).
