WARRIORS international Kuda Mahachi will remain at Mamelodi Sundowns after the Absa Premiership champions failed to agree a transfer fee with French giants AS Monaco.

Mahachi has already been registered at Sundowns and has been handed the number 43 jersey and sat on the bench on Wednesday night as his new side lost 1-0 to Ajax Cape Town.

Reports from South Africa claim the player made the grade during a two-week trial stint but the two clubs were worlds apart in their valuation of the former Bantu Rovers, Chicken Inn and Highlanders star.

“The boy did well and Monaco was very impressed during his trials. However, both teams could not agree on terms regarding the transfer fee,” a source said.

At Sundowns, Mahachi joins up with Warriors legend Peter Ndlovu, who is team manager, veteran midfielder Esrom Nyandoro, Cuthbert Malajila and Khama Billiat.

Nyasha Mushekwi's future at Sundowns is uncertain as he is undergoing rehabilitation after an injury sustained last season in Belgium and could be sent out on loan before the transfer window closes on August 31.
