Boo-boys target Nkhatha happy at Chiefs

KAIZER Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has attributed the South African premiership club’s great run to the fact that most of the players are in their third season with the team.

As many as 20 players of the current Chiefs squad formed part of Stuart Baxter’s first season – the 2012/13 campaign, and the Zimbabwean midfielder believes Chiefs’ 10-match winning streak has a lot to do with the understanding among the players.

“This is our third year playing together with the same coach and using the same philosophy. We know each other’s strengths and weaknesses so I think it is helping us a lot,” Katsande says.

Meanwhile, the tough-as-nails midfielder reckons Amakhosi can extend their unbeaten run to 11 matches when they take on Maritzburg United in a League clash on Saturday at FNB Stadium.

“We are promising to do well and there is no time for excuses,” he adds.
