REIGNING champions Dynamos are set to clash with old foe Highlanders in the Gushungo Cup Sunday at the giant National Sports Stadium.

The challenge match has been organised to celebrate President Mugabe’s resounding victory in last year’s harmonised elections.

Highlanders, who have in recent years lived in the shadows of their counterparts, will be seeking redemption following a dismal performance this term.

After failing to finish in the top four, Bosso will not be able to defend their Mbada Diamonds Cup and the match at the weekend may be their very last competitive fixture.

The Bulawayo giants will most likely feature young players in the game as the team is seeking to rebuild for the upcoming season.

However, Dynamos fresh from their dramatic league triumph, will be bubbling with confidence and will fancy their chances of laying their hands on the trophy come Sunday.

The winners will get $45,000 and the team which loses will get $35,000.

The two teams have met four times this year with Dynamos winning all of the encounters.

Dynamos beat Bosso by identical 1-0 in both league matches before dispatching them 2-0 in the Bob 90 Cup. They then emphatically defeated them 4-1 in the TM Cup.
