CHAMPIONS Mamelodi Sundowns have a chance of taking their unbeaten run to 11 League matches when they travel to neighbouring University of Pretoria on Saturday.

The Brazilians are trying to catch log leaders Kaizer Chiefs, who are 13 points ahead having played an extra match.

And Sundowns' red-hot striker Cuthbert Malajila says they are determined to collect maximum points in their final three games of the year.

“We have three matches remaining between now and the end of the year and we need nine points from those matches,” the Zimbabwean told KickOff.com.

“Tuks is a good side and have always given us problems in the past but we need to win this match and we will take it very seriously.

“After so many draws this is a perfect opportunity for us turn the corner.”

Last season Downs twice ran out 3-1 victors over struggling Tuks, who have yet to win since coach Steve Barker's departure to AmaZulu late last month.

Under Sammy Troughton they have lost 2-1 to Usuthu and drawn 0-0 with Maritzburg United.

Saturday: Pretoria University v Mamelodi Sundowns, Black Aces v Free State Stars, Kaizer Chiefs v Chippa United, Orlando Pirates v Ajax Cape Town, Supersport Utd v Polopkwane City

Sunday: Platinum Stars v Bidvest Wits, Bloem Celtic v Moroka Swallows
