WARRIORS midfielder Danny ‘Deco’ Phiri will not join Castle Premiership champions Dynamos, his side Chicken Inn have declared.

The champions, who have already signed Godknows Murwira, Obey Mwerahari, Dominic Chungwa and Kelvin Bulaji, were looking to add the tough tackling but attack minded Phiri to their roster for the 2015 season.

But Chicken Inn chairman Lifa Ncube says Phiri is contracted to them until December 31, 2017.

"Deco is still our player as he signed three years with us in November last year and will be with us until 2017," Ncube said.

The Harare side have been claiming that Phiri is a free agent.

Highlanders were last January 2014 quoted $50,000 for the player and Dynamos will have to stump as much as to prise him away from the well-sponsored Bulawayo side.

But Dynamos have had their sponsorship from BancABC cut by 43 percent and pulled out of the Caf Champions League due to financial problems.

In fact, Dynamos are so broke that they signed Murwira on a two year deal worth just $6000 payable over two seasons.

The league champions are again set to battle with Caps United to get the clearance for Chungwa who is tied up with the Green Machine until the end of this season.

Chungwa says Caps owe him and wants to be released from his contract.
