Dynamos hammer hapless Buffaloes

AFTER opening their PSL title defence with a 3-0 beating of visiting Buffaloes at the National Sports Stadium last Saturday, Dynamos turn attention on Chapungu whom they visit in Gweru this weekend.

The Harare giants walloped Buffaloes with Simbarashe Nhivi and Walter Mukanga scoring while the visitors’ defender Kudzai Mwaramba weighed in with an own goal.

Despite the win, Dynamos coach David Mandigora was however not pleased with his side’s performance but vowed to stage an improved showing in their Chapungu visit.

“I am happy with the result because we now have three points but the performance was not inspiring at all. It shows we still have a lot of work to do and that has made us more cautious when we go to Chapungu,” Mandigora said.

“We are already focused on Chapungu and preparing hard for them would be key. I know they are a good side and were tough on us last year so we are taking them seriously.

“We just have to improve by each game.”

Chapungu thrashed Dynamos 3-0 at Ascot Stadium in the league’s first leg last season before holding the giants 1-1 in the return fixture at Rufaro Stadium.
