AFTER surviving a scare last week at Barbourfields, Highlanders return to the same venue, this against second placed Chicken Inn ravaged by injuries to key players in Week 10 of the Castle Lager Premiership race.

Bosso needed a penalty in the sixth minute of stoppage time, converted by Gabriel Nyoni to snatch a 1-1 draw against Harare City and halt a losing streak at home.

They had lost their last two matches against Chapungu and Caps United but after last week’s draw, Bosso coach Bongani Mafu said he was happy with progress being made by his side

However injuries to Obadiah Tarumbwa, Nqobizitha Masuku, Simon Munawa and Erick Mudzingwa could halt that progress.

Defender Teenage Hadebe is also out while Douglas Sibanda has travelled with the Warriors to South Africa for the Cosafa Cup.

“We have to soldier on; we have 24 hours to see if they can make the match. If they can’t those that will be selected have to do the job.

“This is a derby and all you need is passion and a big heart. It will be a tough match because Chicken Inn are playing well,” Mafu said Friday.

Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas, who has seen his side notch six wins, two draws and a loss to sit second with 20 points, said a derby has no form.

“A derby has no form; anything can happen because everyone is playing for bragging rights so this presents a huge game for us,” Antipas, a league title winner with Motor Action in 2010, said.

Twenty-four hours later, Barbourfields will host another mouth-watering clash between defending champions Dynamos and How Mine, who have both lacked some consistency in the last four weeks.

In finally getting their acts together last weekend, How Mine laboured to a 1-0 win over Tsholotsho while Dynamos needed a last gasp header from Oscar Machapa to snatch all three points against FC Platinum at Rufaro, winning by the same score-line.

How Mine have three former Dynamos players on their books-goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya, Devon Chafa and Tawanda Muparati, but the later will not take to the pitch due to an injury.

Diya has been made to sit on the bench for the last eight matches by Under 23 international Donovan Bernard, but featured against Tsholotsho last week and will get another run as Bernard is in South Africa with the Warriors for the Cosafa Cup.

Dynamos have problems of their own with Simba Nhivi, formerly Sithole and Obey Mwerahari out while Qadr Amini, Nigel Gandari and Erick Opoku are long term casualties.

Midfield talisman Ronald Chitiyo and Carlos Rusere are with the Warriors in South Africa with the former Monomotapa called up only on Wednesday.

Saturday: Chicken Inn v Highlanders (Barbourfields), Harare City v Hwange (Rufaro), Flame Lily v Buffaloes (Lafarge), Whawha v ZPC Kariba (Ascot)

Sunday: How Mine v Dynamos (Barbourfields), CAPS United v Chapungu (NSS), FC Platinum v Triangle (Mandava)
