ZPC Kariba interim coach Oliver Matava has stoked flames ahead of Saturday’s clash with Dynamos by declaring they can upset the Harare giants whom they host at their recently refurbished Nyamhunga Stadium.

It would be their second PSL match to play at Nyamhunga where they had last played at during their Division One days until they hosted FC Platinum two weeks ago.

Their return to Nyamhunga from their adopted Gwanzura Stadium was however immediately by the platinum miners who prevailed as 3-0 winners.

Matava has been in charge of four matches since the sacking of former coach Saul Chaminuka, winnIng once, losing twice and drawing one match.

But he believes Dynamos’ visit could mark a turnaround in their form.

“I know we are playing against defending champions and they will not be an easy side to face. But we are ready for them,” Matava said.

“Playing Dynamos motivates us in itself and we can win this game. The players want to prove themselves against big sides and there is a big possibility that we can come out with three points. We are playing for our fans who deserve to see us wining in at their home.”

Dynamos have never beaten ZPC Kariba in the league as they succumbed to back-to-back defeats last year which was ZPC’s debut top-flight football season.

FIXTURES
Saturday: Caps United v Chicken Inn, ZPC Kariba v Dynamos
Sunday: Highlanders v How Mine, Hwange v FC Platinum, Buffaloes v WhaWha, Triangle v Tsholotsho, Dongo v Harare City
