PSL leaders Chicken Inn resume their league title march at home on Saturday by hosting struggling Chapungu at Luveve Stadium.

Joey Antipas’ side have emerged as title favourites and lead standings by two points ahead their closest challengers Triangle.

On top of having beaten Chapungu 2-1 in the reverse fixture away at Ascot Stadium in June, Chicken Inn face the airmen who have now won their last six games.

Antipas is not looking at Chapungu’s form but says he is concentrating on their own game.

“Of course we played Chapungu at Ascot and we beat them but that is water under the bridge now. We managed to read their game but we are now just trying to perfect our play,” Antipas said.

“We are also very careful not to be deceived by their form. Such a team is dangerous because they are a wounded lion.

“So we are focusing on our game and make sure we are fully ready against them. We have been training hard at training so that we will be a strong side by the weekend.”

Chicken Inn go into this match fresh from last weekend’s 2-0 Chibuku Super Cup first round win over Hwange at Luveve Stadium.
