THE defeat of leaders Chicken Inn by defending champions Dynamos on Sunday has thrown the title race wide open with any of the three teams at the top capable of lifting the championship.

Six matches remain before the season comes to an end.

Rodreck Mutuma was the hero as his priceless goal ensured Dynamos closed in on the log leaders. Chicken Inn though, still lead the league table with 49 points from 24 matches.

FC Platinum who shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw against Tsholotsho are on second position with 45 points, the same as Dynamos who have an inferior goal difference.

Triangle are also still in the mix with 38 points from the same number of matches.

Harare giants Caps United too have a shout after bouncing back to winning ways with a 3-1 thumping of Bulawayo giants Highlanders but a top four finish is realistic for the Green Machine.

Chicken Inn however, have what appears to be tough run-ins with the Game Cocks still to play FC Platinum before engaging How Mine, WhaWha, Tsholotsho and then rounding off their season with a date against Flame Lily.

Dynamos too still have bitter rivals Caps United and Harare City to get over as well as relegation threatened teams such as Flame Lily, Chapungu and Buffaloes to grapple with.

For their part, FC Platinum also have what appears a tough run-in with matches against Wha Wha, Harare City, Chicken Inn, Flame Lily and Caps United still to come among their remaining six games.
