CAPS United could find themselves in a worse situation in their visit to Hwange, as more players are set to miss Sunday’s league trip.

After the PSL on Thursday announced that utility player Hardlife Zvirekwi is suspended for the Hwange match, some players are doubtful due to injury.

Key men Tafadzwa Rusike and Ronald Pfumbidzai are injured while Valentine Musarurwa is also facing the same predicament.

Pfumbidzai has been battling with a knock of late while Rusike has a long history of injuries.

With Caps chasing the first league title since 2006, they are keen to consolidate their second position on the log where they are just two points behind leaders FC Platinum.

“Some of these players have to pass late fitness tests and we will see how it goes. We just hope to have one or two between them,” said Caps assistant coach Mark Mathe.

“At the position we are on it is crucial to have most of players available. But sometimes there is nothing we can do about it. We are just forced to deal with those who are there and we have faith they will deliver.”

United last weekend drew 0-0 with their closest rivals FC Platinum while Hwange go into this match on the backdrop of three draws and a win.
