Zimbabwe Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa

WARRIORS coach Kalisto Pasuwa named the 20-member squad on Thursday to face Zambia in Saturday’s international friendly match at the National Sports Stadium with veteran Caps United forward Leonard Tsipa headlining the call-ups.

Tsipa was rewarded for his sterling form in which he leads the goal-scoring charts in the PSL campaign and returns to the national team fold after over 10 years.

Pasuwa’s squad for the Zambia match is predominantly composed, of local-based players but, he excused FC Platinum and Ngezi Platinum players who will take part in the Chibuku Super Cup final on the same day.

Familiar faces feature in the squad but, receiving debut call-ups are the Highlanders duo of defender Honest Moyo and Tendai Ndlovu, as well as Chapungu midfielder Jameson Mukombwe and striker Gift Mbweti who has been in scintillating goa scoring form for Hwange.

Making a return to the national team are Caps United left-back Ronald Pfumbidzai, Malvern Gaki of Triangle, utility man Pritchard Mphelele and Roderick Mutuma who recently picked up form at Dynamos.

After the Zambia friendly, the Warriors will host Tanzania in another international friendly match, at the National Sports Stadium again but this time foreign-based players will be drafted in, taking advantage of FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Squad for Zambia Friendly:
