Former Dynamos striker Roderick Mutuma

FORMER Dynamos striker Roderick Mutuma is set to join Bulawayo giants Highlanders after he was released by their Harare rivals at the end of last season.

Mutuma who once played for South African side Bloemfontein Celtic, is currently with Bosso in the training camp in South Africa.

A source close to the player said, that it seems the move will happen soon after the team returns, from their camp in South Africa.

“Yes its true Roderick is eyeing a move to Highlanders and once their camp in South Africa is done, it’s when we can say whether he will make it or not at Highlanders but, what I know is, that they need a player of his experience. He is a good player and he can do well at Highlanders, if he is signed,” the source concluded.

Mpofu joins Bulawayo City

After failing to turn up for training, with newly promoted PSL side Shabanie Mines, coach Mandla Mpofu has since joined Bulawayo City, as an assistant coach to coach Try Ncube.

Mpofu has not yet signed with Bulawayo City but club acting Chairman Zenzo Moyo, has confirmed that they had roped him in.

“We have agreed terms with Mpofu and basically everything is in place, although he is yet to sign a contract with us. He will be our assistant coach for the 2017 season. We all know he is a great coach and look at the good work he did, at Bantu Rovers. It shows that he will add value to the club.

We want him to be part of the team, when we start preparations for the new season. We all know how tough the league is and that’s why we need a strong technical team as well,” Moyo concluded.
