THE Castle Lager Premiership action resumes Wednesday following a two week break to make way for the Chibuku Super Cup matches, with attention trained on the pacesetters as the league slowly nearing the finishing line.

Leaders Dynamos, who last visit to the Midlands earned them valuable three points that catapulted them to the summit of the log table, will be hoping for the same clinical performance they have been displaying in their last few games, when they take on Shabani Mine Football Club at Maglas Stadium on Thursday.

DeMbare have now amassed 52 points and will be hoping to make amends after they were dumped out of the lucrative Chibuku Super Cup by Bulawayo City on Sunday.

A day earlier Chicken Inn and FC Platinum who are both a point behind the Glamour Boys will be facing tricky opponents in Caps United and Yadah, respectively.

Ngezi Platinum who are still in with a shout face ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga Stadium on Wednesday.

In an interview following a morale boosting win over the Sunday Chidzambwa coached ZPC Kariba, Shabani Mine coach Takesure Chiragwi was upbeat about the Thursday clash.

“We respect Dynamos, it is a very big institution but in the field of play the better team will win. We are here to compete and we will do the same on Thursday,” said Chiragwi.

Without the services of their top striker Christian Epoupa Ntouba, Llod Mutasa will look to other senior players in the ranks to provide the goals for him.

Wednesday: Bulawayo City v Tsholotsho (Barbourfields), ZPC Kariba v Ngezi Platinum (Nyamhunga), Yadah v FC Platinum (Rufaro), How Mine v Triangle (Luveve), CAPS Utd v Chicken Inn (NSS, 7pm), Hwange v Black Rhinos (Colliery)

Thursday: Shabanie Mine v Dynamos (Maglas), Harare City v Chapungu (Rufaro), Highlanders v Bantu Rovers (Barbourfields)
